Songs to Celebrate the Centennial of Women’s Suffrage
Ever wonder why March, the (one) month for learning about U.S. women through the decades, is called “Women’s History Month”? Could it be a lack of imagination? We are inviting you to hear the real women’s HERSTORY from the HERSTORIANS**, a great group of women banded together in music and song, and their partner in committing Herstory, Lindsey Wilson. They will also perform abolitionist songs, as one movement complemented the other in our country. And don’t be surprised if you are asked to sing along!!
When: Sunday March 11, 2018.
Time: Doors open at 2 PM
*We would appreciate pre-registration. We are serving light refreshments and setting up chairs and need to know for how many people.
Suggested Donation: $10-15. You can give your donation online or pay at the door. You are welcome as long as there is room, donation or no.
This gala event of inspiration and celebration is presented by the National Organization for Women of New Jersey, and co-sponsored by: The Displaced Homemakers Center @ the Bergen One Stop.
See you then and remember to pre-register—seating is limited!!
